Who doesn’t love the Countryside?
The fresh air, the beautiful views, the sounds of tractors whirring away in the distance. Here at Dodford Manor we have noticed a real increase in couples taking a lot more of a relaxed approach to their special day. BBQ Wedding Breakfasts, no formal speeches, games played during the drinks reception and Best Women instead of Best Men!

Having a Countryside Wedding Venue really helps couples to have the informal day they are after. The beautiful Barns and the stunning countryside views offer a sense of relaxation and tranquillity to a wedding. No beeping of cars, pollution, and row upon row on buildings!

The beauty of Dodford Manor is although we are a Countryside Wedding Venue, we really have great rail and road connections. So, although we are deep in the Countryside getting to us is a breeze!

A lot of photographers seem to have grasped this new look on weddings too. Couples are now opting for more relaxed shots than the traditional ‘posed’ photo. You will often see newlyweds taking a stroll through the fields accompanied by a photographer snapping away!

With the Countryside comes some fabulous nature. At Dodford Manor we are lucky enough to have our own resident sheep! The bleating of lambs in the spring time makes a wonderful addition to any countryside wedding! When your photographer takes you into the fields for some wonderful photos, you may well find our sheep making their way into your wedding album, they are quite good at photo bombing!

Having your wedding at a Countryside Wedding Venue also allows for a bit of fun for your wedding transport! Who doesn’t love a Bridal Party arriving on a Tractor Trailer! Our venue provides the perfect backdrop for a row of Land Rover Defenders used as wedding cars! Saying this we do love a traditional horse and carriage!

Weather can play a huge part in a wedding. From frosty mornings to glorious sunshine, Dodford Manor manages to look great whatever the weather! Did you know that it is good luck to have rain on your wedding day? Some of the best photos include an umbrella or two! As you may have noticed the British weather can be a tad unpredictable, so we are prepared with fully heated or air conditioned barns. How about bringing some blankets to keep your guest warm should they choose to venture out on a chilly winters evening. Planning a Summer wedding? Don’t forgot the sun-block, shades and for good measure a few umbrellas!
