Your Love Story

…How did you meet?

We met through friends back in 2015, we started talking and got to know each other and that’s when we realised we had feelings for each other and the story started.

The proposal

Expected or surprise!

It was a surprise, however it nearly got cancelled due to Ellen not feeling well. Cameron and Ellen went on a dog walk and Cameron got down on his knee in a sheep field with Mei running around.

Choosing THE dress …

Choosing the dress was hard, i felt that i was never going to find the dress as the dresses i was trying on, they weren’t the one. it was only until we asked the assistant some advice and inspiration, She came out with a different option that we didn’t even think about. little did we know, it was the one!

What was your inspiration/theme for the big day?

It was rustic.

Why did you choose Dodford Manor?

I fell in love with Dodford Manor before i got engaged. Myself and a friend went to see the venue when she got engaged. When we arrived, we both looked at each other and I said this is the one for me when i was to get married. when I got engaged 6 months later, I brought Cameron over and he also fell in love with it.

Tell us all the details!

I chose “I get to love you by  Ruelle” for bride entrance (kept it as a surprise for cameron). During the Ceremony, we werent expecting to have a reading but my friend stood up to do a poem by Whitney Hanson which was a complete surprise.

We had a clay model of my dog made so she could be part of the day, she sat by the cake. I created all of the menus, some of the signages. My sister did the rest. we spent over 2 years collecting and making various items for the wedding. We had a sweet cart that we converted. We had a wood sign as our guest sign. We had garden games to entertain the guests.

What was on the menu?

Starter: Brussels pate with mini loaf/ Sundried tomatoes with mozzarella and dressing
Main Course: Chicken wrapped with Pancetta, with roast potatoes and sides
Vegetarian Main: Vegetarian Wellington with tomato sauce and heart-shaped potato
Dessert: Fallen apple

First Dance Song?
