Your love story
We used to work together at Rugby Art Gallery. We were with other people and the timing wasn’t right, it took another 5 years before we found each other again.
The proposal
Complete surprise in Central Park in New York! Amazing! He was so grumpy all day because he was stressed, so I was completely confused.
Choosing the wedding dress
I wanted a white western traditional dress for the day but kept the parents happy for the evening and changed.
First dance song
Shut Up and dance with me! Slow dance is not Gareths thing, he has two left feet! Lol x
What was your inspiration/theme for the big day?
Rustic Autumn themed. Every year the leaves turning will remind us of an amazing day.
Why did you choose Dodford Manor?
We loved the venue straight away! Gareth loved the Mortain barn and the history and the dining area was just beautiful. When a venue looks amazing without the decor, it was perfect. Less is always more
Tell us all the details! Your ceremony - walking down the aisle music, readings or poems? The personal touches.. Decorations, flowers and cake!:
The girls and I came down the aisle to the temptations – my girl. Gareth used an old traditional Celtic vow, the Welsh connection! But I wanted to keep it simple, as I knew I’d be in tears x lol x
Your wedding feast – what’s on the menu?
To keep with the rustic theme, we had Spiced beef brisket with onion bargi, salmon and cream cheese brushetta and the mango and brie parcels were amazing. Welsh dragon sausages, chicken stuffed with mushrooms and a vegetable Wellington. We loved our sorbet course! And the strawberry posset was beautiful

Bride
”It has to be coming down the aisle! Felt like slow motion.
A word of advice for future couples?
Don’t get too bogged down with decor, we had very little but the venue has all the decor needed. Enjoy every moment, its all over too fast x
